WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - With just two weeks remaining before the season opener against No. 4 USC, the No. 16 Purdue volleyball team will offer fans the first glimpse at the team in action at its annual Gold & Black Scrimmage on Saturday.
The free event, which will begin at 3 p.m. ET, wraps a full day of scrimmage action across Purdue athletics, as football (11:15 a.m.) and soccer (1 p.m.) also will offer preseason sneak peeks.
Head coach Dave Shondell says fans can expect to see a lot of energy and communication and a team that is working hard to come together.
Fans are welcome to join the Boilermakers at Belin Court for the Gold & Black Scrimmage on Aug. 17 and again on Aug. 24 at 6 p.m., when the current team will face off with an all-star team of alumnae to wrap up the preseason.
Purdue kicks off the 2013 season at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, as the Boilers face off with USC to wrap up Day 1 of the Mortar Board Premier tournament on Belin Court.
