WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - As part of our countdown to the season, we will give you the inside scoop on one of our 16 players. With 15 days left until the home opener, we introduce freshman Linnea Rohrsen, a 5-4 defensive specialist from Chicago.

Rohrsen brings 2012 AVCA Phenom list and 1st Alliance VB Club player of the year honors to the Boilermaker roster. An all-ESCC conference selection and Pioneer Press second team selection as a senior at Nazareth Academy, she led the team in digs while acting as the libero and team captain.

The honor roll student plans to major in speech, language and hearing sciences. The daughter of Jeff Rohrsen and Bernarda Wolf will face club teammate Katherin Mahlke when Purdue takes on Michigan Sept. 26.
