WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Season tickets for the 2011 volleyball season are on sale now by calling 1-800-49-SPORT or visiting the Purdue athletic ticket office.

The Boilermakers have a stacked slate in 2011, including 17 matches against teams that played in 2010 NCAA Tournament and 11 against teams ranked in the final Top 25 poll.

Purdue will play 16 home matches, including two tournaments: the Mortar Board Premier and the Active Ankle Challenge. It will be a Shondell family showdown when Purdue with head coach Dave Shondell and assistant coach John Shondell, face off against their brother Steve's Ball State Cardinals at the Active Ankle Challenge on Sept. 10, while Nebraska will make its first appearance on the Belin Court boards in the home finale, Nov 12.

Don't forget to mark your calendar and join us for Girl Scout Night, Oct. 15, Black Out on Oct. 19, Breast Cancer Awareness Night, Oct. 22, and alumni/senior night on Nov. 12.

Season ticket holders will have an added advantage in 2011, getting the scouting report from head coach Dave Shondell before Saturday home matches. The coach explains this new feature in the video below.

The Boilermakers posted a 24-11 mark in 2010, including an Elite Eight appearance and a fourth-place Big Ten finish. Purdue welcomes the 14th-best recruiting class in the nation to the fold according to prepvolleyball.com as middle blockers Kaisley Fisher and Kierra Jones along with setter/outside hitter Val Nichol join the roster.
