WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Incoming freshman middle blocker Danielle Cuttino will be gaining valuable international experience as a member of the 12-player U.S. Women's Junior National Team, which will compete at the NORCECA Women's U-20 Continental Championship, July 6-14 in Guatemala.

Cuttino was one of 12 players selected from a group of 18, which participated in a second tryout that took place May 29 to June 1 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.

This year's NORCECA Championship is not the first international foray for Cuttino, who also was part of the 2013 U.S. Girls' Youth National Team that won silver at the FIVB Women's U-18 World Championship. Seven other members of the newly minted Junior National Team also were a part of the 2013 FIVB squad.

Cuttino, who plays for the Circle City Volleyball Club, is a member of the Purdue recruiting class which was ranked No. 3 in the country by PrepVolleyball.com. The Indianapolis, Ind., native was a Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 selection and was listed as the No. 10 Senior Ace by PrepVolleyball. She also garnered Under Armour All-America second team honors as a senior.

The U.S. Women's Junior National Team will train in Minneapolis from June 29 through July 4 before leaving for Guatemala on July 5.
