WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Libero Carly Cramer and outside hitter Ariel Turner will be in Colorado Springs, Colo., this weekend for the USA National Team open tryouts. Both are eligible to be selected for either the USA National team program or the USA Volleyball Women's National A2 program. The tryouts will take place Feb. 25-27 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.

Two hundred and eight participants representing 81 different colleges are slated to attend the tryouts. Participants have the chance to compete for a roster spot on the USA Women's National Team which will compete at the Pan American Cup and the World Cup. A group of 36 players, not selected to the national team, will be chosen to participate in the USA Volleyball Women's National A2 team program. The A2 program, which will include training and competition in the 2010 USA Volleyball Adult Open National Championships.

The A2 program, which is tentatively scheduled to take place in Dallas from May 23 through June 1, is only open to college athletes with eligibility remaining.

Cramer and Turner were a part of Purdue's Elite Eight run in 2010. The Boilermakers begin their 2011 spring season on March 26.
