Shondell named Mideast Region Coach of the Year, Fisher, Turner eligible for All-America honors.

Tiffany Fisher is in her first year as a student assistant coach with the Boilermakers after finishing her four-year playing career in the fall of 2011.

An honorable mention All-America selection, All-Mideast Region and unanimous All-Big Ten selection as a senior, Fisher led Purdue to three NCAA Tournament appearances, including two Sweet 16 berths and an Elite Eight appearance in 2010.

In her four years in the Old Gold and Black, Fisher was an efficient offensive threat, while also stopping opponents at the net. She ranks third all-time in career hitting percentage with a .322 effort, and owns the ninth-place spot in career block assists with 322. The 6-2 middle blocker also led the team in service aces each of her last two seasons.

Fisher registered an .875 hitting effort against Air Force on Sept. 2, 2011, including 14 kills in 16 errorless swings, ranking third on Purdue's individual match record list and as the best effort in a three-set match (15-19 attempts) in school history.

The Topeka, Ind., native also owns the fifth-best effort in a five-set match (15-19 attempts) as she posted a .556 percentage (12 kills and two errors in 18 swings) against Dayton on August 29, 2009.

As a senior in 2011, Fisher garnered AVCA honorable mention All-America and unanimous first team All-Big Ten honors after averaging 2.52 kills and 1.02 blocks per set, while hitting at a .394 clip and serving up 31 aces. She ranked 10th nationally in hitting percentage, while leading the Big Ten, and also posted a league-best .375 mark in conference play. Fisher posted double-digit kills in 12 matches and led the team three times, while putting up five or more blocks in 10 matches and leading the team at the net 10 times. The Preseason All-Big Ten selection also hit at a .250 or better clip in 24 matches, including .300 or better 23 times, .400 or better 19 times and .500 or better 10 times.

All told, Fisher posted double digit kills in 38 career matches and five or more blocks 25 times.She was named as the Denver Invitational MVP in 2011 and as a member of the Mortar Premier all-tournament team three times.

An all-state volleyball player at Westview High School, Fisher also earned four letters in basketball and three for track.

The daughter of Todd and Vicki Fisher is majoring in physical education/health and safety teaching. She has two sisters, Charisse and Allyse.

2010: Started all 35 matches, posting 2.32 kills per set, second most on the team, while hitting at a .281 clip ... added 0.94 blocks per set, second most on the team ... put up double-digit kill tallies 13 times, leading the team three times: against No. 24 Northern Iowa (17), vs. Indiana (12) and vs. Louisville in the NCAA second round (12) ... hit .300 or better 17 times, including .500 or better on five occasions ... led team in blocks 14 times, while posting five or more stuffs on 10 occasions ... served up a team-best 31 aces, including five against Iowa, which marked Purdue's first individual five ace performance since 2008 ... named to the Mortar Board Premier and Active Ankle Challenge all-tournament teams.
