Jaclyn Hart is in her first year as a student assistant coach with the Boilermakers after finishing her four-year playing career in the fall of 2010.

A third team All-America selection, All-Mideast Region and unanimous All-Big Ten selection as a senior, Hart led Purdue to three NCAA Tournament appearances, including an Elite Eight showing her final season. Purdue advanced to the NCAA Second Round her rookie year and to the Sweet 16 her sophomore campaign.

In her four years in the Old Gold and Black, Hart was an all-around threat. She dished out 4,918 assists , second most in Purdue history, while also putting up 307 block assists, 10th most in Boilermaker lore. The Palos Hills, Ill., native, also registered 818 digs and 533 kills, while hitting at a .307 clip, ranking tied for fifth all-time. Hart belongs to the elite triple threat club, having recorded a 12-kill, 41-assist, 10 dig effort vs. UCF on Sept. 5, 2009. She posted 25 double-doubles in her career, including five in 2010. All told, Hart played in 132 matches, starting 122.

In 2010, Hart dished out 10.68 assists per set, sixth most in the Big Ten, while also accounting for 1.75 digs, 1.38 kills and 0.76 blocks per set. She posted a team-leading .394 hitting percentage, good for the second-best season mark in program lore, including a .384 effort in conference play, second best among league players. In the Boilermakers' NCAA first round contest against Kentucky, Hart posted nine kills and 12 swings with no errors for a .750 hitting percentage, the best mark by a Purdue player in NCAA Tournament history. In the team's upset of No. 1 Florida in the Sweet 16, she dished out 39 assists and guided the team to a .327 hitting percentage, Purdue's best mark in NCAA Tournament play.

Hart wrapped her Boilermaker career by earning the team's Carol Dewey Mental Attitude Award, which is bestowed on the individual voted by her teammates as the player who best ememplifies the positive image represented by Purdue Volleyball. The senior was an inspiration to teammates, coaches and fans nationwide as she played the last two months of her career while dealing with the illness and eventual passing of her father to cancer.
