WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue men’s and women’s tennis teams will hold a free tennis clinic Wednesday, welcoming enthusiast of all ages and skillsets to the Schwartz Tennis Center. A small meet and greet with players and coaches is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET in the lobby, with the clinic beginning at 7 p.m. indoors on the Basham Courts.
Participants are encouraged to wear athletic shoes, but they do not need to bring their own racket. Those under 18 years of age do need to have an adult sign their safety waiver at the start of the event. To register, contact Lisa Braden via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
While space is limited for the clinic, anyone may attend the meet and greet, and watch from the mezzanine surrounding the indoor courts.
Both programs open their seasons in the coming days with home doubleheaders. The women first face Cincinnati at 9 a.m. and Butler at 3 p.m. on Saturday; the men then compete against Eastern Kentucky at 1 p.m. and DePaul at 6 p.m. on Monday. All four matches are free to attend and will be streamed live on PurdueSports.com.
