EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. – The Purdue women’s tennis team made easy work of Rutgers’ lineup Friday, besting the Scarlet Knights 7-0 at the East Brunswick Racquet Club. The victory marks the Boilermakers’ fourth sweep of the season.
In singles, Purdue’s roster swept the home team in straight sets on all six courts. Most impressively, Ambrosio did not give up a game against Lee at the first position, and Calkins preserved the rout with a 7-6 (5-0) win in the second set at the fifth.
Up next, the Boilermakers will travel south, finishing the regular season at Maryland. First serve is scheduled for noon ET on Sunday.
