Women's Tennis Drops Match to Notre Dame
Purdue falls to 0-3 in dual matches.

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Purdue women's tennis team fell 6-1 to 15th-ranked Notre Dame in Des Moines, Iowa, today. The loss drops the Boilermakers to 0-3 in dual matches this season. Jennifer Embry provided Purdue's only win. The sophomore defeated Marisa Velasco 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 at the No. 2 singles position. Classmate Shannon Taheny battled Tiffany Gates in a heartbreaking 7-6, 7-5 loss at the No. 4 spot. Senior Hally Cohen also took her match against Kelley Olson to the brink before succumbing 7-5, 6-4 at the No. 6 spot. Purdue will look to regroup for its first win of the season when it takes on Drake tomorrow.
