Boilers to Put Streak on the Line

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue women's tennis team, proud owners of a spotless 3-0 record, will take its show on the road for a match against Western Michigan. This will be Purdue's first road challenge of the spring season. In their first three matches at Lafayette Tennis Club, the Boilers defeated Drake (5-2), Miami of Ohio (5-2) and Illinois State (4-3).

Part of Purdue's early success can be attributed to the play of freshman Jennifer Embry and senior Rachel Fiset. Embry has played at both No. 1 and No. 2 singles and is a perfect 3-0. Fiset also boasts an immaculate 3-0 record. She has spent time at both No. 5 and No. 6 singles. Collectively, Purdue is 13-5 in singles matches this season.

The match against Western Michigan will be the Boilers' final tune-up before the start of Big Ten Conference play. Purdue travels to Minnesota for a match against the Golden Gophers on Feb. 14.
