WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's and women's diving teams compete in their last event of 2008 this weekend when they take part in the Ohio State Swimming and Diving Invitational.

The Boilermakers will be one of 13 diving teams competing at the invite. Arizona State, Duke, Florida State, Indiana, Iowa, Miami, Minnesota, North Carolina State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State and South Carolina will also be in town.

Freshman David Boudia is coming off a clean sweep of all three diving events at the Art Adamson Invitational on Nov. 21-23. He posted scores of 359.65 on 1-meter, 432.80 on 3-meter and 419.60 on platform for the trio of titles.

Sophomores David Colturi and Danny Cox made it a clean sweep on platform for the Boilermakers, finishing second and third, respectively. Colturi tallied 371.00 points and Cox checked in at 350.80.

On the women's side, junior Ashley Karnes and freshman Ashley Beal went 1-2 in both of the 1-meter and 3-meter events at Texas A&M. Karnes notched scores of 296.05 on 1-meter and 343.90 on 3-meter to take each event. Beal was right behind her with 287.25 points on 1-meter and 321.20 points on 3-meter for the pair of seconds.

Kara Cook and Casey Matthews made their presence felt on the platform. Cook finished second with a score of 254.60 and Matthews was fourth at 242.45.

The Ohio State Swimming and Diving Invitational runs from Friday, Dec. 5, through Sunday, Dec. 7, at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. Admission is free every day.

Doors open to the public at 10 a.m. ET on Friday, 9 a.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. on Sunday. Divers will be competing on the 1-meter on Friday, 3-meter on Saturday and platform on Sunday.
