WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Indiana claimed the final two berths in the NCAA Championships available to both genders as the divers competed from the platform towers on the final day of the Zone C Diving Championships Saturday afternoon at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center.

MacKenzie Tweardy and Maddie Miskulin finished and fourth from the platforms, respectively. Had some of the springboard qualifiers doubled up among the top finishers in those events on the first two days, Tweardy's third-place showing could have been good enough for a bid to the NCAA Championships. But as bad luck would have it, the springboard events used up seven of the nine allotted women's berths in Zone C.

Indiana's Amy Cozad and Kate Hillman placed one-two among the women and Conor Murphy and Danton Rogers did likewise for the men. All four Hoosiers earned NCAA berths Saturday.

For Purdue, Michelle Cabassol and Casey Matthews earned their bids Thursday. Jamie Bissett and Layne Rogers duplicated the feat Friday. Matthews will be competing at the NCAA Championships for the third time but the other three will be making their debuts at the national championship meet. Matthews will compete in only the 1- and 3-meter the springboard events as expected.

Rogers placed fourth in the platform finals Saturday as the top finisher among the Purdue men. He posted a personal season-best score of 359.85 in the finals. Sean Mokhtari and Alec Back were also among the 12 competitors to advance to the finals, placing ninth and 11th, respectively.

The women's NCAA Championships are set for March 21-23 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis. The men's national championship meet will be held at the same location a week later (March 28-30). Purdue's men's and women's program will both be represented by eight student-athletes, six swimmers and two divers each.
