WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Senior Amanda Miller placed sixth off the 3-meter springboard with 338.25 points during Friday's prelims at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

Miller's top-eight showing guaranteed her the third All-America citation of her career and second of the weekend. The Centreville, Va., native placed fourth on 1-meter Thursday night. Last season in Athens, Ga., Miller was sixth on the platform tower.

Miller overcame a missed dive in the fourth round (40.50 points) with 67.50 points on her sixth and final dive - a forward 2.5 somersault with one twist. Miller's four other scores were between 52 and 64 points each.

Sophomore Emily Wetzel was unable to overcome a missed attempt on dive five, scoring just 11.25 points on a reverse 1.5 somersault with 1.5 twist. Wetzel finished 33rd overall with 275.85 points.
