Four Boilermakers earn All-America honors, Purdue hosts Big Tens again

2016-17 / AS A FRESHMAN
• Competed primarily in the backstroke events
• Posted season-best times in the 100 (55.25) and 200 back (1:58.37) as well as the 50 free (23.36) at the Big Ten Championships
• In program history, moved into sixth place in the 200 back and 10th place in the 100
• Purdue's top finisher in the 200 back at Big Tens... qualified for the B final of the 200 back at Virginia Tech's H2Okie Fall Invitational
• Also won the C final of the 100 back and posted her season best in the 100 free (52.87) at Va Tech
• Competed in the 200 IM (2:07.47) vs. Indiana and the Big Ten Triple Duals over consecutive weekends in January
• Represented Purdue at the U.S. Open Championships in August

• Four-year varsity letterwinner for coach Andy Pedersen at Hamilton Southeastern High School in suburban Indianapolis
• Also part of the Southeastern Swim Club
• Competed in the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in the 100 backstroke
• Helped lead HSE to a runner-up finish at state in 2016 as well as three conference and sectional titles
• Four-year state qualifier in the 100 back and with the HSE relay teams
• Also qualified for state in the 200 IM as an upperclassman
• Finished third at state in the 100 back as a senior while helping 200 and 400 free relay teams post runner-up showings
• Earned All-American honors all four years, including three time in the 100 back
• Nathan King Mental Attitude award recipient as a team captain her senior year
• Four-year high honor roll student and scholar athlete
