2011-12:CSCAA Scholar All-America Honorable Mention... Marr competed in the breaststroke and IM events... despite not joining the team until the first day of second semester, went on to break the school record in the 400 IM (4:14.35) and post Purdue all-time top five times in the 200 breast (2:14.12, 2nd) and 200 IM (2:02.68, 5th)... recorded all three season-best times at the Big Ten Championships... broke the 400 IM freshman record in the morning prelims and came back that night to eclipse the program record that had stood since 2005 while winning the C final... also won the C final of the 200 breast at Big Tens... honored as the team's Whatever It Takes award winner... won the 200 breast in her Purdue debut, the dual meet win against Michigan State, less than a week after joining the team... swam four events -- 100 and 200 breast, 200 and 400 IM -- at the Big Ten Quad.
Before Purdue Joined the program at the beginning of the 2012 spring semester after attending school at Haydon in her native Lodon... competed for the Hillingdon Swimming Club coached by David Hemmings... represented Great Britain in the 2004 and 2005 European Junior Championships, competing in the 50, 100 and 200 meter breaststroke... daughter of Graham and Kim Marr... family also includes older brother Alex... plans to major in movement and sports science.
