Before Purdue: Four-year varsity letter-winner and team MVP at McCutcheon High School... 200 and 500 free All-American as an upperclassman... three-year Indiana state meet qualifier in the 200 and 500 free, finishing second in the 500 as a senior and sixth in the 200 as a junior... in the 500 free at state, also took third as a sophomore and fourth as a junior... three-time sectional champion in the 200 and 500 free, helping McCutcheon win the team titles all three years... on the club circuit with Maverick Aquatics, posted an Olympic Trial cut time in the 800 free, a senior national cut in the 1500 free and junior national cuts in the 100 breast, 400 free and 400 IM...
