2011-12: Gallagher competed in eight different events, racing most frequently in the distance freestyle events... U.S. Olympic Team Trials qualifier in the 800m free... season-best times in the 1000 (9:52.24) and 1650 free (16:22.49) from the Big Ten Championships were tops on the team in 2011-12 and second fastest in program history... her top times in the 500 free (4:46.62, 3rd) and 400 IM (4:19.90, 6th) from Big Tens were second best on the team in 2011-12 and also among the Top 10 in program history... accounted for seven team points by qualifying for the B final in the 500 free and placing 11th in the mile... won the mile at the Ohio State Invitational, a meet where she accounted for 46 team points after also placing sixth in the A final of the 500 free, eighth in the A final of the 200 breast and seventh in the B final of the 200 IM... won the 1000 free in the dual meet win against Northwestern... finished first in the 500 free in the dual meet victory versus Notre Dame... competed in the 100 breast and 200 IM at the Indiana Intercollegiates.
Before Purdue: Four-year varsity letter-winner and team MVP at McCutcheon High School... 200 and 500 free All-American as an upperclassman... three-year Indiana state meet qualifier in the 200 and 500 free, finishing second in the 500 as a senior and sixth in the 200 as a junior... in the 500 free at state, also took third as a sophomore and fourth as a junior... three-time sectional champion in the 200 and 500 free, helping McCutcheon win the team titles all three years... on the club circuit with Maverick Aquatics, posted an Olympic Trial cut time in the 800 free, a senior national cut in the 1500 free and junior national cuts in the 100 breast, 400 free and 400 IM...
