WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - In the weeks leading up to the 2013 season, get to know your Boilermaker softball team through the weekly Quick Hits Q&A feature. Purduesports.com will sit down with each player and help you get to know who they are off the field and the impact they hope to make on it.

To start, here's a double dose of Boilermaker infielders as junior Tori Chiodo and sophomore Alyssa Koorsen give you a glimpse at their favorite things and who they are as Boilermaker players.

Chiodo started 52 games at third base in 2012 and posted a .313 average, including a team-best .364 average during Big Ten play. The Sylmar, Calif., native had 40 hits, including nine for extra bases including an inside-the-park home run against San Diego State. Meet Tori Chiodo.

Koorsen played in seven games in 2012, starting at third base against Michigan. She saw limited action at the plat, but had one hit and drew one walk. Her first collegiate hit was a pinch-hit single against UT-Martin, a game which also saw her score a run. Meet Alyssa Koorsen.

Come see the players in action as they open their fall campaign with a pair of games on Oct. 7. The Boilermakers will face off with St. Joseph's at 9:30 a.m. and Butler at 4:15 p.m. at the Boilermaker Softball Complex. Admission is free.
