WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The most anticipated games of the year are finally here as Purdue (13-34, 4-10 B1G) and Indiana (21-25, 13-2 B1G) are set to square off in a midweek doubleheader Wednesday at Bittinger Stadium. First pitch of game one is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET.

Purdue split last year's doubleheader with the Hoosiers thanks to an outstanding effort by then-senior Katie Johnson in the circle. Johnson led the Boilermakers with a complete-game and the game-winning hit in the seventh inning to drive in a pair and defeat IU in Bloomington, Indiana, by a score of 2-1.

The rivalry has been even of late as Purdue and Indiana have split their last eight games with each other. Overall, Purdue leads the series with IU 31-21 and is 14-8 in home games against the Hoosiers.

The Boilermakers have been tough outs at the plate in home games this season. Stephanie Ramsey and Emily Kenny are both hitting over .400 in West Lafayette as Ramsey owns a .424 batting average with 14 hits in 33 at-bats and Kenny has .429 batting average with six hits in 14 at-bats. Of Kenny's six hits at Bittinger Stadium she has three doubles and a home run, fueling to her .857 slugging percentage.

Altogether, Purdue is hitting .313 in home games this season with seven Boilermakers hitting .333 or better. Jenny Behan has been the leading run producer for Purdue with 14 RBI and 13 runs scored thanks to a .367 batting average. The junior transfer has 11 hits in 30 at-bats with two doubles, four home runs and nine walks in West Lafayette. Halle Hixenbaugh and Ryleigh Scott match Behan's total with 11 hits each in their first season playing at Bittinger Stadium.
