WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -
The NFCA has announced that seven new members were voted to its Board of Directors for 2018. One returning member of the board is Purdue's Boo De Oliveira.
“I am honored to be elected to the NFCA Board of Directors," said De Oliveira. "I firmly believe in the mission of the organization. It is a privilege to represent my fellow coaches and to help grow the game. I love being able to give back to the sport that has provided me so many opportunities.”
De Oliveira has served the organization in a number of capacities, including being the Assistant Coach Representative, Chair of the Recruiting Committee, and a member of the Internet Committee. Now as the second Vice President, she is responsible for helping the NFCA with its membership. De Oliveira is an active NFCA Executive Board Member and also a member of the Nominating Committee that helps place members on NFCA committees.
Last season, De Oliveira led the Boilermakers to their fifth consecutive Big Ten Tournament appearance. She enters her second season with a much different roster in 2018 as there are 14 returners and 11 newcomers. The season opener is slated for Feb. 9 against Arizona State.
