WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue women's soccer head coach Robert Klatte has announced a 12-player recruiting class set to join the Boilermakers for the 2013 season in the fall.

Signing up to play for Purdue includes: Claire Albertz (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton), Katie Bittner (West Lafayette, Ind./West Lafayette), Jordan Ginther (Sugar Grove, Ill./Kaneland), Holly Gregory (Bloomington, Ill./Normal Community), Juliana Hairston (Portland, Ore./Grant), Megan Kaser (Carmel, Ind./Carmel), Brenna Koeneke (Wauwatosa, Wis./Divine Savior Holy Angels), Mikayla Lasky (Avon, Ind./Avon), Gianna Milaro (Berwyn, Ill./Nazareth Academy), Delia Repasky (Annapolis, Md./Severn), Christa Szalach (Naperville, Ill./Naperville North) and Maddie Williams (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg).

Bittner (65 goals), Gregory (54), Milaro (58) and Williams (69) were all prolific goal scorers during their high school careers. Ginther is an accomplished goalkeeper who will team with experienced defenders Albertz, Kaser, Lasky, and Repasky to help strengthen the defensive depth of the Purdue roster.

Hairston was the player of the year in her conference as a senior and is the sister of current Purdue standout Alex Hairston, who has started every game of her first two seasons with the Boilers. Bittner, Gregory and Lasky all have Purdue alumni in their families as well.

Koeneke is a versatile three-year varsity starter who has played a different position in each of her first three high school seasons and won a state title on the club level. Illinois and Wisconsin play their high school girls' soccer seasons in the spring.

Kaser, Szalach and Williams were part of high school state title teams. Szalach scored the golden goal for Naperville North in the fourth overtime of the 2012 IHSA state championship game in what was the longest game in state history. Williams led her Perrysburg team to an undefeated 23-0 record while ranking first in the state with 48 goals.

Kaser and Lasky were standout defenders for good teams in the Indianapolis area. Kaser was a junior on Carmel's 2011 state title. Lasky helped lead Avon to back-to-back undefeated regular seasons in her upperclassman years.

"This class is athletic and fast. We looked to bolster our team's ability to cover the entire field--both offensively and defensively," Klatte said. "In addition, we have added a bit of steel to the team as well. Several from this group have a good chance of stepping in and contributing right away. The added competition will simply benefit everyone for having to battle for places on a daily basis."

Claire Albertz
Hometown/High School: Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton HS
Height & Position: 5-foot-3 Defender
Coach Klatte Says: "Claire is a calm and composed player who reads the game well. She is solid technically."
Highlights & Honors:Four-year starting defender for the varsity team at PHS... two-time team captain as an upperclassman... had a goal and six assists as a senior, winning the team's most valuable defender award... Superintendent Award winner for being the senior with the highest GPA as a four-year member of varsity... played on an international tour of Germany and Holland in 2009 with a her Ohio South State ODP team.

Katie Bittner
Hometown/High School: West Lafayette, Ind./West Lafayette HS
Height & Position: 5-foot-5 Defender/Midfielder
Coach Klatte Says: "Katie plays with pace, speed and athleticism. Her addition will allow us to expand our range as a pressing team defensively and open the opposition up offensively."
Highlights & Honors: Four-year varsity starter at forward finished her high school career with 65 goals... scored 23 goals as a senior to earn third team all-state honors... three-time all-conference performer... helped West Lafayette reach the semi-state round of the state playoffs all four years... part of the Zionsville Girls '95 Select team that won the 2012 state cup on the club level... varsity starter for basketball as a sophomore and also helped her 4 x 400 relay team set a school record in track as a freshman.

Jordan Ginther
Hometown/High School: Sugar Grove, Ill./Kaneland HS
Height & Position: 5-foot-6 Goalkeeper
Coach Klatte Says: "Jordan is an exceptionally quick shot stopper who is brave and hard working. She makes great saves with her quick reactions."
Highlights & Honors: Two-year starting goalkeeper for the varsity team entering her senior season... didn't play high school soccer as a sophomore in order to train for nationals with her club team... USYS Golden Glove winner in 2011 after helping lead her club to the national title... all-conference and all-area honoree as a high school junior while breaking the school record for shutouts... conference MVP as a freshman.

Holly Gregory
Hometown/High School: Bloomington, Ill./Normal Community HS
Height & Position: 5-foot-4 Midfielder/Forward
Coach Klatte Says: "Holly is strong and a battler. She possesses both athleticism and sound technique. Her mobility should prove a positive addition to our attack."
Highlights & Honors: Enters her senior season with 54 goals and 40 assists in her high school career despite playing only six games as a freshman due to injury... Bloomington Pantagraph Area Player of the Year after posting a 20-20 season (26 goals and 24 assists) and leading Normal Community to a third straight set of conference and regional titles... two-time first team all-conference and all-intercity performer had 19 goals and 13 assists as a sophomore... part of the Illinois state team at the 2011 National ODP Championships, accounting for a game-winning goal... on the club level, led her team to the state cup title in 2010 and the finals again a year later.

Juliana Hairston
Hometown/High School: Portland, Ore./Grant HS
Height & Position: 5-foot-9 Forward/Defender
Coach Klatte Says: "Juliana is a strong athlete who can play multiple roles on the field. She is good technically, can distribute and score goals."
Highlights & Honors: First team all-state and conference player of the year as a senior... two-time first team all-conference as a junior... helped lead Grant to the state finals as a sophomore... also a member of the varsity track and field team... four-year honor roll student... sister of current Purdue standout Alex Hairston.

Megan Kaser
Hometown/High School: Carmel, Ind./Carmel HS
Height & Position: 5-foot-5 Defender
Coach Klatte Says: "Megan is a hard worker who is a great athlete. She is strong, can tackle and get forward. She has very good pace and is a solid 1v1 defender."
Highlights & Honors: Four-year varsity starter played defender her first three seasons before moving to the midfield as a senior... helped lead Carmel to four straight conference titles and the 2011 state title... the team was also selected as the ESPN high school national champions in 2011... also part of an ECNL national championship team in 2011 on the club level... first team all-conference, all-metro north and all-district as a senior... finished her high school career with four goals and 15 assists.

Brenna Koeneke
Hometown/High School: Wauwatosa, Wis./Divine Savoir Holy Angels HS
Height & Position: 5-foot-7 Midfielder
Coach Klatte Says: "Brenna is tough, brave and strong with the ball. She is a battler and tackler as well as good in the air. She is sound technically."
Highlights & Honors: Three-year varsity starter entering her senior season this spring has served as a center back, forward and center midfielder... two-time second team all-conference performer was also named honorable mention as a freshman... helped her FC Milwaukee club team win the 2009 Wisconsin state title... two-time national runner up with her Kick It 3v3 team.

Mikayla Lasky
Hometown/High School: Avon, Ind./Avon HS
Height & Position: 5-foot-8 Defender
Coach Klatte Says: "Mikayla is a mobile, tough defender and consistent battler. She's very good in the air--she can both defend set pieces and score goals from them."
Highlights & Honors: Four-year varsity starter at defender was a three-time team MVP... three-time all-state honoree by the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association... also named to the Indianapolis Star All-West Team three times... Indiana Soccer Coaches Association Top Team Player honoree as a senior... finished her high school career with 18 goals and 10 assists while playing defender for all four years... helped lead Avon to undefeated regular seasons in 2011 and 2012.

Gianna Milaro
Hometown/High School: Berwyn, Ill./Nazareth Academy HS
Height & Position: 5-foot-3 Midfielder
Coach Klatte Says: "Gianna is a bright, technical and crafty player. She has the ability to pull the strings and score goals from the midfield.
Highlights & Honors: Three-year varsity letter-winner has recorded 58 goals and 38 goals entering her senior season... area and conference player of the year as a junior after posting a 20-20 season (20 goals, 21 assists) as a junior, helping lead Nazareth Academy to the conference title... two-time all-area and all-conference performer... scored 22 goals as freshman while playing forward before moving to a center midfielder role... also played basketball as an underclassman.

Delia Repasky
Hometown/High School: Annapolis, Md./Severn HS
Height & Position: 5-foot-5 Defender
Coach Klatte Says: "Delia is an athletic and tough defender. She is solid in her positioning and a consistent distributor."
Highlights & Honors: Four-year varsity letter-winner on the soccer pitch has also participated in swimming, track and field, and lacrosse... team captain and coaches award recipient as a senior in soccer... well-rounded student-athlete is a member of National Honors Society and student council while also earning an art award for her creativity.

Christa Szalach
Hometown/High School: Naperville, Ill./Naperville North HS
Height & Position: 5-foot-5 Midfielder
Coach Klatte Says: "Christa is solid technically with an eye for the goal. She distributes well and is a consistent performer."
Highlights & Honors: Helped lead Naperville North to the 2012 IHSA Class 3A state title, scoring the golden goal with 42 seconds remaining in the fourth overtime in what was the longest game in IHSA history... eight goals and eight assists as a junior to earn first team all-conference honors... team captain for her senior season this spring... also helped Naperville North reach the state finals in 2011, scoring 10 goals as a sophomore to earn all-conference and all-area honorable mention recognition.

Maddie Williams
Hometown/High School: Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg HS
Height & Position: 5-foot-8 Forward
Coach Klatte Says: "Maddie is quick, fast and knows how to score goals. She can take players on 1v1 as well as run past them. She will be dangerous for us in the attacking end."
Highlights & Honors: Recorded 69 goals and 30 assists in her upperclassman seasons, her 48 goals as a senior being the most in state of Ohio (boys or girls)... All-American and first team all-state as a senior while earning all-league and all-district honors again... led Perrysburg to an undefeated 23-0 season and an Ohio state title her senior year... second team all-state as a junior after recording 21 goals and 13 assists... all-league performer in basketball helped lead her team to the conference title thanks to a 14-0 record in league play.
