WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Headlined by visits from Notre Dame and Illinois, Purdue women’s soccer is scheduled play all five of its spring exhibition games at home this semester.
The Boilermakers will host Bowling Green (Feb. 24) for their annual February indoor game inside the Mollenkopf Athletic Center. The other four spring games will be played at Folk Field. Notre Dame (March 24) and Evansville (March 29) visit campus in late March. Wright State (April 15) and Illinois (April 22) are the opponents in mid-April to close out the spring season.
All of Purdue’s spring games are open to the public and feature free admission. Fans are encouraged to bring their own camping, lawn or foldable chairs to Mollenkopf for the indoor game.
The program’s alumni game, which was traditionally held in the spring, is being moved to the fall as part of a revamped and expanded alumni weekend. Plans are being made for the alumni weekend to be held Sept. 15 to 16, a weekend that features home football and soccer games. More information will be announced in the coming weeks.
The Boilermakers’ spring roster is set to feature seven players that saw action in all 19 games this season – Sarah Griffith, Kylie Hase, Maya Lambert, Hannah Melchiorre, Hannah Mussallem, Brady Riley and Katie Stephens. Meanwhile, Big Ten All-Freshman Team selections Sarah Clark (18) and Katie Luce (16) both started every game in which they played. Additionally, junior Dannah Williams’ 28 career starts will rank second among active Boilermakers when the 2018 season opens in the fall.
Purdue's 2018 recruiting class was announced last week and featured 11 signees.
