WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - No. 8 Purdue (20-2-3) played Indiana (13-6-3) to a scoreless tie Sunday in front of 708 fans at the Varsity Soccer Complex, but it will be the Hoosiers moving on to face Duke in the NCAA Sweet 16.

Indiana advanced on penalty kicks 4-3, as did the Blue Devils against No. 3 seed Georgia.

Purdue played a great game on defense, limiting Indiana to just eight shots. Jenny Bradfisch made four saves, which included a diving stab on a Kristin Arnold shot late in the second half.

The shutout was Purdue's 13th of the season, further extending the program season record.

On offense, the Boilermakers had plenty of opportunities but could not convert. Purdue fired 24 shots, led by Sylvia Forbes' seven, and were presented with 14 corner kicks.
