WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue women's golf team wraps up the fall season ranked No. 15 in the Golf World/NGCA Coaches' Poll. The No. 15 ranking is two spots higher than their previous position.

The move up the in polls comes after a successful fall season which ended with two first place team and individual finishes in the Boilermakers' final two events. Purdue began its fall season with a 13th-place finish at the Duramed NCAA Fall Preview, hosted by Georgetown. The Preview gave the Boilermakers the opportunity to play the 6,270-yard Caves Valley Golf Course, which will host the 2009 NCAA Women's Golf Championships. Purdue also finished in eighth place at the Mason Rudolph Invitational in late September.

The Boilermakers will kick off their spring season on Feb. 8 when they host the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Purdue will also play host to the 2009 Big Ten Championships on April 24 to 26 at the par-72 6,276-yard Kampen Course in West Lafayette, Ind.
