Sinha Named Big Ten Golfer of the Week

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Kishi Sinha was named co-Big Ten Golfer of the Week on Wednesday, after tying for fifth place in prestigious Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C. The redshirt senior shot a 71 in the weather-shortened tournament, leading the way for Purdue and helping the Boilermakers to a tie for third.

Sinha shares this week's award with Michigan State senior Caroline Powers who also tied for fifth at the Landfall.

It is the first weekly conference honor for the New Dehli, India, native and the second of the season for the Boilermakers. Paula Reto earned Golf of Week on Oct. 17 after winning the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championships in Knoxville, Tenn.

Purdue has wrapped up its fall season and will resume competition when it hosts the Lady Puerto Rico Classic on Feb. 10 to 12 in Rio Grande, P.R.
