WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Hurricane Sandy's impact is being felt in Wilmington, N.C., as driving rain and high winds have forced stoppage of play midway through the second round of The Landfall Tradition at the Country Club of Landfall. Play was suspended at 12:09 p.m. ET after teams had completed 9 to 11 holes. The tournament is expected to resume at 9:30 a.m. Sunday with a shotgun start.

The No. 14 Purdue women's golf team was in eighth place when the day's round was postponed. Fifth-ranked Duke was atop the leaderboard, No. 17 Oklahoma State was in second and Notre Dame was in third when teams were pulled off the course.
