The Purdue men's and women's golf teams will compete in the 2005 Landfall Tradition this weekend in Wilmington, N.C.

The event will feature 12 teams on both the men's and women's fields. This will be the fourth-straight year the Purdue men's team has competed in the event. The women's team has been in the field in three of the last four years.

The men's team is ranked No. 36 in the Golfweek.com poll. The women's team is ranked No. 5.

The men's field includes Coastal Carolina, Illinois, Memphis, Michigan State, Minnesota, UNC-Wilmington, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Tulsa, Virginia Commonwealth and Virginia Tech.

The women's field includes Furman, Michigan, New Mexico, N.C. State, UNC-Wilmington, Penn State, South Florida, Tulane, Tulsa, Virginia and Wake Forest.

Both teams will be competing on the Jack Nicklaus designed Nicklaus Course at the Country Club of Landfall. The men's track is a par 72, 6,992-yard layout. The women will be facing a par 72, 6,070-yard challenge.
