WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - A one-hour highlight show from this summer's Pure Silk Women's Collegiate Team Championship Presented by the National Golf Coaches Association will air Wednesday, Aug. 22 at 10 p.m. ET on the CBS Sports Network. The highlight show will give fans a chance to watch Boilermakers Aurora Kan and Kishi Sinha represent Purdue.
The three-day event was held July 31 through Aug. 2, at the Wedgewood Golf and Country Club in Powell, Ohio. More than 50 two-person teams competed in the unique amateur event and each team was comprised of players from the same university in a 54-hole stroke-play event.
The format of the championship was alternate shot on the first day, best ball on the second day and the aggregate score of the two players on the final day. Teams were comprised of golfers from all levels of collegiate golf including Division I, II and III programs.
The Boilermakers have four starters returning from last year's team: seniors Laura Gonzalez-Escallon, Paula Reto and Sinha along with sophomore Kan. Freshmen Brooke Beegle and Margaux Vanmol will compete for roster spots this season. Purdue's first tournament of the year is the Mary Fossum Invitational on Sept. 15 and 16 in East Lansing, Mich., hosted by Michigan State.
