BROWNS SUMMITT, N.C. - The Purdue women's golf team will travel to Browns Summitt, N.C., for the 2006 Bryan National Collegiate from Friday to Sunday.

The three-day, 54-hole event begins on Friday at 8:30 a.m. EST. It will be held on the Bryan Park Champions Course.

The Boilermakers are ranked eighth in the latest Golfweek.com Poll.

Top-ranked Duke and No. 6 Georgia are also in the field along with Cal-Berkeley, Florida, Furman, Louisiana State, North Carolina, N.C. State, Oklahoma State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Tulane, UNC-Greensboro, UNC-Wilmington, Vanderbilt and Virginia. Wake Forest will participate as the tournament host.

This is the ninth year for Bryan National Collegiate. Purdue has played in the event four times. It's best finish was eighth in 2003.
