WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - It's always good to return to a place where you had success. At least the Purdue women's golf team hopes so, as they prepare to compete in this weekend's Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational, an event they placed third in last season.

The Boilermakers head into this year's tournament ranked 15th in the nation by Golfweek, fresh off their sixth-place finish at the UCF Women's Invitational earlier this month.

Purdue is the highest ranked team competing at the 2007 Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational, joining fellow top 30 teams Arkansas (No. 25) and TCU (No. 28) in the 14 team field.

Rounding out the field are Baylor, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, SMU and tournament-host Texas.

The Boilermakers will once again be led into action by sophomores Maria Hernandez, currently ranked 35th in Golfweek's individual rankings, and Christel Boeljon, ranked 56th by Golfweek. Earlier this month, Boeljon was named Big Ten Women's Golfer of the Week for her performance at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic.

The 2007 Longhorn Invitation, which will run from Friday, March 16, through Sunday, March 18, will be held at the 6,323-yard, par 72 University of Texas Golf Club in Austin. Live scoring for the event will be available at Golfstat.
