WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - After winning the last three Windy City Collegiate Championships, the eighth-ranked Boilermakers finished tied for 12th at this year's event with a three-round score of 905 (304-296-305=905).

Fourth-ranked Oklahoma State (291-298-293=883, +18) held the lead through all three rounds of the Windy City Collegiate to take home a one-stroke victory over Arizona (303-292-288=883, +19). Ohio State (296-300-288=884, +20) finished third while host Northwestern (301-297-302=900, +36) tied with three teams for sixth place.

Two golfers tied for first as individuals, Arizona's Isabelle Boineau and Oklahoma State's Kelsey VInes both turned in a two-under par 214 for the three rounds. Boineau shot the low round of the day with a 68 to share the lead.

Laura Gonzalez-Escallon turned in the best performance of the tournament for Purdue. She tied for 11th place with a five-over par 221 (70-74-77), while Paula Reto recorded the Boilermakers' lowest third-round score with a 75 to tie for 21st. Reto totaled 224 (78-71-75) at the Glen View Club in Golf, Ill., which is set up as a 6,333-yard, par-72 course for the tournament.

Junior Kishi Sinha tied for 35th, recording a 228 (75-75-78) for 54 holes and freshman Aurora Kan recorded a 77 on Tuesday for a three-round total of 234 (81-76-77), placing her in a tie for 59th. Junior Jam Vilairatana contributed one of Purdue's four counting scores in the final round with a 76 and finished tied for 72nd with a total score of 238 (84-78-76).

The course proved to be a bit of a challenge, with scores averaging at 76.3 strokes per round for the tournament.

Purdue is coming off a second-place finish at the 2011 NCAA Championships but returned just two golfers from that squad. The Boilermakers have one more event this fall, the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C., on Oct. 28 to 30.
