NOBLESVILLE, Ind. - The Purdue women's golf team opened the 2013 fall season on Sunday afternoon as four individuals hit the links at the IU Fall Kickoff at the Purgatory Golf Club. Junior transfer Johanna Tillström posted the Purdue's top individual score, shooting a +1 score of 74-71-145 to tie for fourth place overall in her Boilermaker debut.

Sophomores Vinh-Hoa Ngo and Brooke Beegle were the next two Boilermakers in, finishing 20th and 24th, respectively, while freshman August Kim tied for 38th overall. Ngo shot matching rounds of 76 to finish at 152 (+8), and Beegle was one stroke back at 76-77-153. Kim posted back-to-back 79's to post a 158 (+14).

While the Boilermakers didn't turn in a team score, Louisville took home the team title with a mark of 285-285-570, topping second-place Indiana by 27 strokes. The Cardinals' Laura Restrepo took home medalist honors with a tournament-best score of 70-69-139 (-5).

The Boilermakers are scheduled to compete in their first team event at the end of the month, heading to the Chicago-land area for the Windy City Collegiate on Sept. 30.
