Women's Golf Stands in Third at Big Ten Championships

Sophomore standout Stacy Orschell shot a 75 during the third round of play at the Big Ten women's golf championships at Penn State's Blue Golf Course. Orschell came into the day in a three-way tie for second place. Her three-over par 75 on Saturday gives her a three round total of 224, eight strokes over par. Michigan's Sharon Park, Ohio State's Natalie Mosher and Indiana's Jennifer Seger are also at 224 going into the final round.

Purdue stands in third place heading into the final round with a total of 914 strokes, six behind Ohio State and 18 behind tournament leader Indiana. Penn State (916) and Northwestern (919) round out the top five. Senior Colleen Cashman also shot a 75 on Saturday and is tied for 13th with a score of 230, six strokes behind the leaders. Junior Angela Blythe shot a 77 on Saturday and is also tied for 13th. Junior Lisa Kenley is at 234 after shooting a 77 while fellow junior Johanna Gollings is in 40th place with a total of 238. Classmate Rebecca Burkhart is in 50th place with a total of 243. The final round starts tomorrow morning.
