Two Women Golfers in Top 10 at Hawkeye Invitational

Senior Colleen Cashman is in a tie for first place after day one of the Hawkeye Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa. Cashman fired a 73 in the second round on Saturday, giving her total of 148 after two rounds, sharing the lead with Indiana's Michelle Hatfield and Wisconsin's Patty Frohna. Sophomore Stacy Orschell was in tenth place at the completion of day one, six strokes behind the leaders. As a team, Purdue stands in third place in the field of 10 with a total of 617, 10 strokes behind Wisconsin and 17 behind frontrunner Indiana. Junior Johanna Gollings shot a two-round total of 159, tying her for 19th, while fellow junior Lisa Kenley is tied for 21st. Juniors Angie Blythe and Rebecca Burkhart are tied for 35th and 41st, respectively. The final round will be played tomorrow.
