Round Two Results Get Acrobat Reader

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The fourth-ranked Purdue women's golf team is in second place at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic in Athens, Ga., and Numa Gulyanamitta has a one-stroke lead at even-par with a two round total of 144.

The Boilermakers fired a plus-nine 297 for a total score of 581, four strokes behind No. 3 Alabama at 577 (286-291, +1). Host Georgia is third at 585, Duke is fourth with a 587 and Notre Dame is fifth with a team total of 588.

Gulyanamitta carded a 73 on Saturday to move atop the leaderboard with a one-stroke lead over Marta Silva Zamora of Georgia and Emily Tubert of Arkansas who are tied for second at 145 (+1).

Sophomore Laura Gonzalez-Escallon recorded a 76 in the second round and is tied for ninth with a score of 148 (+4). Senior Maude-Aimee LeBlanc is tied for 27th with after recording a 77 in the second round. She has a total of 152 (+8) after two rounds.

Thea Hoffmeister dropped to a tie for 51st after carding an 81 on Saturday. She has a two-round total of 155 (+11). Sophomore Paula Reto is tied for 92nd, with a score of160 (+16) after recording an 82 in round two.

No. 18 Georgia is the host for the Liz Murphey Classic which consists of a field of 23 teams participating in the 54-hole event April 1 to 3, at the University of Georgia Golf Course, a par-72, 6,335-yard venue.

The Liz Murphey Classic features a unique best-ball scoring format. Five-person teams from each school are playing together, with the four low scores on each hole counting toward the team's total score. Individual scores are kept and an individual and team winner will be crowned at the conclusion of the final round on Sunday.

Last season, the Boilermakers finished tied for fourth at the Liz Murphey Classic.
