ORLANDO, Fla. - The Purdue women's golf team captured the team title at the Snowbird Invitational in Orlando, Fla. for the second consecutive year.
Leading the way for the Boilermakers was senior Colleen Cashman, who finished third in the individual standings after firing a second round score of 76 to give her a total of 149 for the tournament.
Sophomore Stacy Orschell, juniors Angie Blythe and Johanna Gollings also finished in the top ten to spark the Boilers. Orschell tied for sixth with a two-round total of 155 while Blythe and Burkhart tied for ninth with totals of 156.
Tracy Gage of Methodist College won individual medal honors with a score of 148.
Junior Rebecca Burkhart and sophomore Kelly Beth Simmons tied for 43rd (163). Also getting action were juniors Lisa Kenley and Jill Dickey and sophomore Katie Kinsinger, who fired totals of 169, 175, and 168, respectively.
Purdue will return to action March 23-24 at the River wilderness Invitational in Bradenton, Fla.
