WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue women's golf team finished third at the Purdue Mount Vintage Invitational in North Augusta, S.C. The Boilermakers shot a three-round total of 913, 47-over par, and finished three strokes behind team champion Costal Carolina.
Individually, Laura Gonzalez-Escallon led the Boilermakers with a three-round total of 223 (73-76-74) to finish in a tie for second. Paula Reto tied for fifth on the weekend, shooting a 226 (79-73-74). Margaux Vanmol (81-72-78=231) and Auroa Kan (81-78-76=235) finished 11th and 13th, respectively. Kishi Sinha rounded out the scoring for Purdue with a three-round score of 236 (80-77-79), to place 15th overall.
Playing as an individual, Brooke Beegle carded a 255 (81-89-85) to finish tied for 27th.
The team will return to action March 15-17, when it heads to Augusta, Ga., for the Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate.
