COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Purdue women's golf team kicked off the 1998 spring season at the Texas A&M GTE Mo'Morial Classic today. After the first two rounds, sophomore Stacy Orschell is in a tie for second place, shooting an even par 72, 1 stroke behind leader Isabelle Rosberg of Texas A&M. Junior Angie Blythe also cracked the top ten, as she sits six strokes behind the leader.
As a team, the Boilermakers are in fourth place of 16 teams with a team score of 313. Campbell University is the leader after day one with a team score of 296. Texas A&M and TCU are in second and third place, respectively, with Purdue and Northern Arizona rounding out the top five.
Purdue will continue action tomorrow, with the final 18 holes set to begin at 8 a.m.
