Round Two Results Get Acrobat Reader

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The No. 9 Purdue women's golf team is tied for seventh after firing a 300 in the second round of the 11th-annual Lady Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, P.R. Purdue is even with N.C. State with a two-round total of 603.

The Boilermakers were led by senior Paula Reto's 70 on Monday, tying with two other golfers for low round of the day. Reto's two-under par second round gave her a total score of 145 and moved her into a three-way tie for third place.

No. 6 Alabama leads the field with one round remaining. The Crimson Tide followed up their opening round 293 with a 290 for a four-shot lead at 583. No. 13 Arkansas is in second place with a 587, while No. 20 Texas Tech and TCU are tied for third at 597.

Arkansas' Emily Tubert is in first place with a four-under par 140. She shot 70s in each round of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic. Alabama's Stephanie Meadow is in second place with a 143, and is the only other player with a total score below par. Meadow shot a 70 on Monday after starting with a 73.

Freshman Margaux Vanmol shot a 73 and is tied for 19th with a two-round score of 149. Senior Laura Gonzalez-Escallon is tied for 37th after firing a 79 on Monday. With an opening round 75, the La Hulpe, Belgium, native has a total of 154. Senior Kishi Sinha shot a 78 and with a 155 is tied for 50th, while sophomore Aurora Kan followed up her first round 77 with an 81 and is tied for 64th at 158.

Freshman Brooke Beegle is competing as an individual and is tied for 32nd at 153. The Fishers, Ind., native carded a 79 in the second round after shooting a 74 on day one.

The Boilermakers will tee off on the River Course at the Rio Mar Beach Resort beginning at 6:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday and will be paired with Iowa State, Northwestern and N.C. State. The River Course has been set up as a par-72, 6,191-yard venue for the three-day, 54-hole event hosted by Purdue.
