WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - ESPN has decided to move the 18th-ranked Purdue women's basketball's Jan. 12 game at No. 17 Penn State from ESPN2 to ESPN, moving tipoff from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. (ET). The move is part of a women's basketball doubleheader, which will also feature third-ranked Tennessee playing at intrastate rival Vanderbilt.

"It's exciting to see ESPN elevating women's basketball and putting it on center stage of its family of networks," said Purdue head coach Sharon Versyp. "When the opportunity arose to move the game, we jumped at it."

Purdue and Penn State have been two of the powers of the Big Ten Conference in recent history as the Lady Lions have won the last two Big Ten regular-season titles, while the Boilermakers have won the last two Big Ten Tournament championships. Penn State is currently 7-3 on the year, and have played one of the nation's toughest schedules, while Purdue sits at 8-2 with a No. 10 Ratings Percentage Index (RPI), the highest in the Big Ten this season.

The two teams have split the last two outings as Purdue took a 68-66 victory in the 2012 Big Ten Tournament title game, while the Lady Lions won the lone meeting in 2013 in State College, 69-61.
