WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue women’s basketball wraps up the non-conference season next week, hosting the 2017 Basketball Traveler’s Inc. Invitational at Mackey Arena, Sunday through Wednesday, Dec. 17-20. The Boilermakers host Eastern Washington, UT Martin and Saint Mary’s for the event, playing a round-robin format to decide a champion.

• Purdue dropped its second contest at home this season last Sunday, falling to visiting Ohio 77-71
• The Boilermakers committed as season-high 33 turnovers, resulting in 36 Ohio points
• Purdue dominated the glass, outrebounding Ohio 39-22, two rebounds shy of the lowest opponent total in program history
• The Boilermakers shot 46.9 percent, losing for the first time this season when outshooting their opponent
• Ohio hit on 62.5 percent from 3-point range, despite coming into the game shooting just 23 percent on the year



HEAD COACH Sharon Versyp
• Versyp is in her 18th season as a head coach and 12th on the Boilermaker sidelines, making her the longest tenured head coach in program history
• Her 243 wins at Purdue are the most in school history, and she is nine conference wins shy of matching Lin Dunn for the most Big Ten victories at Purdue
• Purdue has advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 9-of-11 seasons under Versyp, including each of the last two seasons, making the Boilermakers 1-of-23 programs in the country to accomplish the feat during the time frame
• The Boilermakers are 4-2 in regular-season tournaments at home under Versyp

• Purdue leads the Big Ten and ranks eighth in the NCAA in average attendance this season, hosting 5,689 per game
• The Boilermakers have played the No. 6 strength of schedule in the NCAA this season
• This year’s Basketball Traveler’s Inc. Invitational marks the 17th home tournament in Purdue history, with the Boilermakers holding a 26-7 all-time mark
• Purdue last hosted a holiday event in 2014, sweeping UC Irvine, Denver and Wright State at Mackey Arena
• The Boilermakers lead the Big Ten Conference in blocked shots and 3-point shooting this season, ranking 16th in the NCAA at 5.9 blocks per game, and 22nd nationally at 39.6 percent from the arc
• Purdue is averaging 42.0 rebounds per game over its last three outings, including 14.0 per game on the offensive end
• Senior Andreona Keys needs 60 points to become the 32nd 1,000-point scorer in Purdue women’s basketball history
• Sophomore Ae’Rianna Harris has logged at least two blocked shots in 9-of-11 games this season and ranks third in the NCAA with 34 so far this year
• Sophomore Lamina Cooper has scored a new career-high in three consecutive games, including 18 points vs. Ohio on Sunday
• Cooper and Harris are two of the most-improved scorers in the Big Ten this season, increasing their per-game averages by 7.3 and 5.8 points, respectively

• Eastern Washington comes to Mackey Arena at 4-5 on the season, winning their last two games before traveling east
• The Eagles are led by senior forward Delaney Hodgins, who averages 19.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game heading into the tournament, including 18 points and seven rebounds last week against Cal Poly
• UT Martin enters the BTI Invitational at 4-5 on the season, coming off their biggest win of the year; a 90-49 victory over visiting Rhodes College
• The Skyhawks rank among the top 3-point shooting teams in the country, hitting 8.9 per game and shooting 36.4 percent from distance
• Saint Mary’s makes its first-ever trip to Mackey Arena at 5-3, having lost two straight heading into the tournament
• The Gaels have a pair of common opponents with Purdue this season, beating Indiana 88-82 at home, and falling at Utah 74-63
• Saint Mary’s boasts one of the top field goal percentages in the country, ranking 19th at 47.2 percent from the field on the season
