The Rankings: Purdue is ranked No. 14 by the Associated Press and No. 12 in the ESPN/USA Today Division I Coaches' Poll. UConn is ranked No. 2 in both polls. Marist and Wake Forest are not ranked.

Purdue in the Paradise Jam
The Boilermakers played in the Paradise Jam five years ago and went 0-3 in the tournament. No. 20 Purdue opened up with No. 8 Duke, losing 53-41 on Nov. 22, 2007. The Boilermakers lost to Temple 61-47 on Nov. 24 and ended the trip with a 66-53 loss to Old Dominion on Nov. 25. Purdue was without the services of Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton that season after she tore her ACL playing with USA Basketball in Russia in July. Wisdom-Hylton spent four seasons in the WNBA, most recently with the Washington Mystics, before joining the Purdue coaching staff in Oct.

Last Time Out
Senior Drey Mingo had 13 points and senior Sam Ostarello scored 12 to lead No. 14 Purdue to a 59-45 win over Bowling Green on Monday. Mingo and Ostarello had 12 rebounds each to become the first Boilermaker duo to record double-doubles in the same game since 2009. Ostarello also tied her career high for blocks, with four in the contest. Redshirt senior Chantel Poston contributed 12 points for Purdue. The Boilermakers led 25-18 at halftime and opened the second half on a 17-3 run to push the lead to their largest margin of the night at 21 points. Bowling Green's offense heated up late in the game to close the final margin to 14 points. Danielle Havel scored nine points to lead the Falcons (2-1). Bowling Green shot just 28 percent (14-of-51) from the field.

Next Up
The Boilermakers will play host to Georgia Tech in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. in Mackey Arena. Purdue's all-time leading scorer (2,405) and assists leader (628), former first team All-American MaChelle Joseph is in her 10th season as the head women's basketball coach at Georgia Tech. Purdue's 2012 Big Ten Tournament championship banner will be unveiled prior to the start of the game and fans are asked to arrive early so as not to miss the ceremony.

The Series vs. Marist
This is the first meeting in women's basketball between Marist and Purdue.

The Series vs. Wake Forest
This is the fourth meeting between the two teams, the first since 2003 and the third at a neutral site. Purdue leads the series with a 2-1 record. In the last matchup, the eighth-ranked Boilermakers defeated the unranked Demon Deacons 76-57 on Nov. 29. 2003. Wake Forest head coach Jennifer Hoover was a junior on the Demon Deacon squad that fell 78-58 in Mackey Arena.

The Series vs. UConn
This is the sixth meeting between the two teams and the third at a neutral site. Purdue trails 1-4 in the series and is 0-3 against the Huskies under head coach Sharon Versyp. The last time the teams met was on March 22, 2011, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Gampel Pavilion. The top-ranked Huskies defeated unranked Purdue 64-40. UConn has a four-game win streak against Purdue.

Against Ranked Opponents
The Boilermakers are 0-6 all time against teams ranked No. 2. The last time Purdue faced a team with a No. 2 ranking was in the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight. The Boilermakers were ranked No. 11 and lost 84-72 to No. 2 North Carolina on March 27, 2007, in Dallas. The Boilermakers went 3-6 against ranked opponents last season.

Two Double-Doubles
Seniors Drey Mingo (13 points/12 rebounds) and Sam Ostarello (12 points/ 12 rebounds) both recorded double-doubles against Bowling Green. It was the 49th time that two Purdue players have recorded double-doubles in the same game.

Freshmen Contribute
Purdue has gotten valuable minutes from the freshman class early in the season. Six-foot-2 forward Taylor Manuel is fourth on the team in scoring with an 8.7 ppg average, while shooting .833 (10-of-12) from the field. The St. Louis, Mo., native also is averaging 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals. April Wilson has shown poise as the back up point guard and is sixth on the team in scoring, averaging 6.3 ppg, shooting .500 (6-of-12) from the floor, including .429 (3-of-7) from three.

Rebounding Prowess
Six-foot-2 senior forward Sam Ostarello is leading Purdue in rebounding with an average of 11.7 boards per game. The Fort Pierre, S.D., native has recorded her 20th and 21st career games with double-figure rebounds. At SIUE, Ostarello tied her career-high with 14 rebounds and she followed that up with her first double-double of the season and sixth of her career with 12 points and 12 rebounds against Bowling Green. She is currently 17th all time at Purdue with 595 career rebounds and is tied for ninth with a career-rebound average of 5.9 boards per game.
