WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The 43rd season of Purdue women’s basketball opens Friday on the road as the Boilermakers head to Central Michigan for a 7:30 p.m. ET tip against the Chippewas. Friday marks just the 13th time in school history Purdue has opened the season on the road, and the third time in the last five seasons under head coach Sharon Versyp.

• Purdue won its 39th consecutive exhibition game, taking down visiting Saint Francis (Ind.) 88-39, and improving to 44-3 all-time in exhibition games
• The Boilermakers converted on 57.6 percent from the floor and outrebounded the Cougars 38-21
• Purdue assisted on 24 of its 34 made field goals, while turning the ball over just 11 times
Andreona Keys posted a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds, the first 20-10 game for a Boilermaker since Bridget Perry at Penn State on Jan. 30, 2016
• Purdue had 15 steals in the game, its most since the 2015-16 season, paced by Lamina Cooper with six



HEAD COACH Sharon Versyp
• Versyp heads into her 18th season as a head coach and 12th on the Boilermaker sidelines, making her the longest tenured head coach in program history
• Her 237 wins at Purdue are the most in school history, and she enters 2017-18 just nine conference wins shy of matching Lin Dunn for the most Big Ten victories at Purdue
• Purdue has advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 9-of-11 seasons under Versyp, including each of the last two seasons, making the Boilermakers 1-of-23 programs in the country to accomplish the feat during the time frame
• The Boilermakers are 10-1 in season-openers under Versyp

• The Boilermakers are 34-8 all-time in season-openers
• Purdue opens its season on the road for the 13th time in program history, including three of the last five seasons
• The Boilermakers are 6-6 all-time in season openers on the road, most recently winning at Ball State in 2013, and falling last season at Maine
• The 2017-18 roster marks the youngest in Versyp’s 12 seasons, featuring just one senior and two juniors on the 13-player roster
• Senior Andreona Keys will play in her 100th career game Friday, missing only one contest in the previous three seasons, and will start her 78th career game
• Sophomores Dominique Oden and Ae’Rianna Harris are coming off breakout rookie seasons, setting records for 3-pointers and blocked shots, respectively
• At least one Boilermaker will log their first career start as just four available players heading into Friday’s game have started a game at Purdue

• Central Michigan is coming off a 23-9 season, in which they finished 15-3 in conference play, winning the MAC West, and earned a bid to the WNIT
• The Chippewas return their top-three leading scorers from last season in Presley Hudson (16.8), Tinara Moore (16.2) and Cassie Breen (14.1), and their leading rebounder in Reyna Frost (11.3)
• CMU was 15-1 at home last season, with their lone loss coming at the hands of Elon, 71-57 on Nov. 19
