WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - There is a great deal of excitement surrounding the Purdue women's basketball program this year and fans can get a firsthand preview of the upcoming season at the 2011 Women's Basketball Tipoff Banquet on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the Shively Club in Ross-Ade Pavilion.
Head coach Sharon Versyp has 11 of 12 letterwinners returning from last season, including six seniors and all five starters. Plus, point guard KK Houser is back from last season's ACL injury. Purdue has been ranked 13th in Sporting News' preseason poll and ESPN.com's Charlie Creme picked the Boilermakers No. 16 in his preseason prognostication.
The Boilermakers start practice on Wednesday and their exhibition game against Edinboro University is just a little over a month away, Nov. 6 at 1 p.m. ET in Mackey Arena. Purdue starts the regular season on Nov. 13 against IUPUI as part of the Mackey Celebration Weekend.

Tickets are $29 each or $232 for a table of eight. To share the meal with a member of the team, fans have the option of sponsoring a table and receiving seven tickets. The eighth spot will be used by a student-athlete.
