The Big Ten Network schedule of televised conference games was announced today, and the Purdue women's basketball team has seven additional Big Ten Network games, bringing the total number of televised contests to 12.

As was previously announced, Purdue's Jan. 6 matchup at home against Connecticut will air on CBS. The Boilermakers will appear on ESPN2 three times in the regular season. The first time will be the Big Ten/ACC Challenge game at North Carolina on Nov. 28. The other two contests broadcast by ESPN2 are conference games, at Ohio State on Feb. 18 and at home against Michigan State on Feb. 24.

"The exposure created by the number of women's basketball games broadcast by the Big Ten Network sets us apart from any other conference," head coach Sharon Versyp said. "It is an advantage in recruiting and for our fans that Purdue and the rest of the Big Ten schools have a television network dedicated to the promotion of our institutions, both athletically and academically."

The Big Ten Network broadcast schedule includes Purdue's first three conference games: Wisconsin at home on Dec. 28, at Minnesota on Dec. 30 and at Indiana on Jan. 3. In addition, the Big Ten Network will air Indiana's visit to Mackey Arena on Jan. 14. Just three days later, the Boilermakers travel to Penn State, and that game will also be carried by the Big Ten Network.

Purdue's home game against Ohio State on Feb. 7 and its contest at Michigan State on Feb. 11 also will air on the Big Ten Network. The Boilermakers' final game of the regular season at Illinois, on March 2 is designated as a wildcard game by the Big Ten Network. A game time has not been set for the matchup at Illinois and the Network has until Feb. 19 to decide which of the four wildcard games it will broadcast.

Season tickets are on sale at the cost of $49 for students (age 2 through college) and $109 for adults. Fans wanting to order 2007-08 season tickets can do so here or by calling 800-49-SPORT. Single-game tickets for women's basketball will go on sale to John Purdue Club members on Oct. 15 and to the general public on Nov. 1.
