WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue women's basketball in conjunction with the Big Ten announced the 2009-10 conference schedule on Tuesday. The Boilermakers have 10 live, nationally televised games in the Big Ten regular season, eight on the Big Ten Network and two on ESPN2.

Purdue plays the first of 18 regular-season conference games Dec. 6 at Northwestern. It is the earliest the Boilermakers have played a conference game since women's athletics were officially incorporated into the Big Ten Conference in the 1981-82 season.

The Boilermakers resume conference competition on Dec. 28 when they play host to Minnesota in Mackey Arena at 6:30 p.m. The game will be carried on the Big Ten Network.

Purdue faces Indiana only once in the regular season. The Hoosiers travel to West Lafayette on Dec. 31. The game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network but the game time is still pending.

The first of two bye dates will be filled by the final non-conference game of the year as the Boilermakers take on Notre Dame in Mackey Arena on Jan. 4.

The Boilermakers have three conference home games in January. The first is Northwestern on Jan. 10, followed by Iowa on Jan. 17 at noon on the Big Ten Network and Ohio State on Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.

Purdue has five games on the road in January. The three that will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network are at Wisconsin on Jan. 7 at 7:30 p.m. ET, at Minnesota on Jan. 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET and at Michigan State on Jan. 21 at 7:30 p.m. The Boilermakers travel to Penn State on Jan. 28 and then will face Iowa in Iowa City on Jan. 31 at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

February home contests include Illinois on Feb. 4, Wisconsin on Feb. 7, Penn State on Feb. 14 and Michigan State on Feb. 25.

Thursday, Feb. 11 Purdue will take on Ohio State at 7:30 p.m. ET in Columbus, Ohio. The game will be carried live by the Big Ten Network. The Boilermakers play at Illinois on Feb. 21 at 5 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.

The final game of the regular season is also the only regular-season matchup against Michigan. Purdue travels to Ann Arbor to face the Wolverines on Feb. 28.

 

 

The Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament returns to Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on March 4 to 7, 2010. All 10 games of the tournament will be broadcast live on national television for the third consecutive year. The first nine contests will air on the Big Ten Network and the championship game will appear on ESPN2.

Purdue women's basketball season tickets are now on sale. There are several options for season tickets this season. Lower arena reserved seat tickets are $123 for adults and $55 for students (ages 3 through college). Upper arena general admission season tickets are $80 for adults and $50 for students. The deadline for priority seating is Aug. 28 and season tickets can be ordered online at purduesports.com , by calling 800-49-SPORT or at the Purdue ticket office in the Intercollegiate Athletic Facility.
