The Boilermakers return a young and talented roster in 2018-19, coming off the 25th 20-win season in program history and the ninth in 12 seasons under head coach Sharon Versyp. Purdue finished 20-14 in 2017-18, advancing to the third round of the WNIT, the Boilermakers’ 11th postseason appearance in the last 12 seasons. Several of the standouts from Versyp’s 2017-18 roster return to Mackey Arena this season, including rising juniors Ae’Rianna Harris and Dominique Oden. Harris was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, and was one of three players in the NCAA with at least 300 points, 300 rebounds and 100 blocked shots. Oden was one of the hottest players in the country over the last half of the season, averaging 18.6 points per game down the stretch and cracking the 20-point mark nine times in the final 15 games.

The 2018-19 schedule features at least 17 home games, including the season-opening exhibition game against Ashland University on Nov. 4, and 2017 NCAA Champions South Carolina on Dec. 16. Another raucous crowd blessed Mackey Arena last season, marking the 23rd consecutive top-10 NCAA attendance ranking at more than 6,000 fans per game.

The Boilermakers’ home events will feature another series of promotions, which will include the 12th-annual Pink Zone game, the 2019 Senior Day to honor the accomplishments and contributions of seniors Abby Abel and Nora Kiesler and Education Day on Dec. 19 vs. Albany, welcoming students from local schools to Mackey Arena. The full promotional schedule will be released this fall on
