WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Beth Jones, Erika Valek and Shereka Wright will lace up their sneakers one more time this weekend. The Purdue women's basketball seniors will be taking part in events at the NCAA Men's and Women's Final Fours.

Valek and Wright will be participating in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's 2004 WBCA All-Star Challenge on Saturday, April 3. The game, which will pit the top senior collegiate women's players against the 2004 USA Basketball Women's Senior National Team, will be held at Tulane University's Fogelman Arena in New Orleans.

The all-star game will take place after the WBCA/Nike High School All-America Game, slated to start at 4:30 p.m. CST.

In addition to Valek and Wright, seniors Nicole Ohlde of Kansas State, Stacy Stephens of Texas, Chandi Jones of Houston, and Kelly Mazzante of Penn State are on the roster. Depending on the performances of Duke, Minnesota and Stanford in the NCAA Elite Eight, Alana Beard, Iciss Tillis, Lindsay Whalen and Nicole Powell may also play.

Beth Jones will be participating in the 16th annual Mountain Dew College Slam Dunk and Three-Point Championships on Thursday, April 1. The event will take place at the UTSA Convocation Center in San Antonio, beginning at 6:30 p.m. CST. ESPN will broadcast the contests later that evening at 9 p.m. EST.

Jones will be competing against the likes of Mazzante, Navy's Courtney Davidson, George Washington's Cathy Joens and Houston's Chandi Jones. Whalen and Duke's Vicki Krapohl also may compete.

Expected to compete in the men's three-point shootout are Pittsburgh's Julius Page, Gonzaga's Blake Stepp, Stanford's Matt Lottich, and Texas' Brandon Mouton.

Tickets for the "WBCA Night of All-Stars" are $25.00 for Reserved Side Court and $15.00 for Reserved End Court.
