The Series: Monday will be the first-ever meeting between Purdue and Oklahoma State, marking the 31st time in school history a series premiere will happen in the NCAA Tournament. The Boilermakers are 24-6 in these meetings.

The Rankings: Purdue is ranked 17th by the Associated Press and 19th in the ESPN/USA Today Division I Coaches' Poll. Oklahoma State is ranked 21st by the Associated Press and 18th in the ESPN/USA Today Division I Coaches' Poll.

 

The Opponent

Oklahoma State improved to 24-8 with its NCAA Tournament First Round win over Florida Gulf Coast, but needed overtime to edge the Eagles, 61-60. The Cowgirls are led by senior point guard Tiffany Bias, who enters Monday night's game averaging 14 points and six assists per game, ranking 22nd in the NCAA in assists per game. Bias gets ample support from sophomore Brittney Martin and junior Liz Donohoe, who each average more than 11 points per game. Martin adds 8.4 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game, while Donohoe shoots at a 40.9 percent.

 

It's the First Time... Again

For the second straight game the Boilermakers will meet an opponent for the first time in school history, making Oklahoma State the 31st first-time NCAA foe for the Old Gold and Black.

 

300 Club

Purdue head coach Sharon Versyp earned career victory No. 300 on Saturday, hitting the milestone in just 452 career games. She became Purdue's second-most winningest coach in school history at Minnesota on Feb. 20 with her 180th win on the Boilermaker sidelines, and is 23 wins shy of school record holder Lin Dunn.

 

Home Court Advantage

The Boilermakers are hosting an NCAA event for the 17th time in school history, owning a 20-7 record on their home court in tournament play. Purdue is 12-2 at home this season, holding opponents to 63.0 points per game and winning by an average of 14.1 points.

 

Offense vs. Defense

Purdue is on the opposite end of the offense vs. defense matchup on Monday as they enter the NCAA Second Round averaging 74.9 points per game, while Oklahoma State is holding opponents to 59.8 points per game. Purdue is 17-5 this season when scoring more than 70 points.

Courtney Moses hit a pair of milestones in Saturday's NCAA First Round game, climbing to eighth on the Boilermakers' career scoring list with 1,663 points, and hitting her 238th career three to match Katie Gearlds for the school record.
