Illinois State Head Coach Robin Pingeton
Opening statement...
"We are just excited to be here in West Lafayette and looking forward to the opportunity to participate in the NCAA Tournament. We feel like we've got our hands full with a very talented Oklahoma team, but we are excited about the opportunity we have ahead of us."

On the experience of playing in the NCAA Tournament ...
"These girls have grown up watching the NCAA Tournament. I've never in my 18 years been associated with a group that has worked as hard as this group has, both in and out of the season. This group has been so committed to each other and to putting Illinois State on the map. This is what we worked so hard for; this is the goal. I feel like these girls earned it. They know what the NCAA Tournament is all about. Although they may not have had the opportunity to participate in the NCAA Tournament, they know what it's all about and they are excited about the opportunity ahead of us."

On the challenge of preparing for Courtney and Ashley Paris...
"They are obviously two extremely talented players. Courtney is a special player and what she's been able to do has been amazing, It's a credit to her, her work ethic and to Coach (Sherri) Coale and her staff. It's hard to simulate in practice. We've got some stronger young ladies on our roster as well, but obviously not at the level of play that Courtney and her sister have been able to play at. It's going to be a battle; we've got a great deal of respect for them, but we also know they are surrounded by some talented young ladies. It's going to be a challenge for us and I think our kids are up for the challenge. We've got a few things defensively that we are going to try and see how it works out."

Illinois State guard Kristi Cirone
On Oklahoma junior Courtney Paris ...
"We've faced players like that. We have two players on our team with similar size in Nicole Lewis and Lashawn Johnson. We go up against them every day in practice."

On past teammate's advice about the NCAA Tournament ...
"We've talked about it a little, they've said it's very intense and we just need to come in with the mind set of playing tough because we're going to play some great teams."

Illinois State forward Maggie Krick
On her mindset entering the NCAA Tournament ...
"We need to approach it just like any other game. This is what we've worked for all season long."
